Message for families ordering school lunches yesterday

We have been advised that there was an issue paying by card through myKindo. The card payment provider, Windcave, made a change early in the morning which prevented payments from being accepted.

Card payment issues are now resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Term 1 Goal Setting Reports

Following Parent-Teacher Interviews last week, the final reports will be posted to the Community portal next Thursday afternoon, 6 April.

The children in Erwin were the StACUp winning House for the end of Term 1. They enjoyed wearing red casual gear today.

Kids‘ Lit Quiz – WINNERS!

Scoring a massive 91½ points (out of 100), the Preparatory School team was victorious for the second year in a row at the 2023 Canterbury Kids' Lit Quiz. Congratulations to Harry, Emmet, Matilda and Zoe who all put in an incredible performance. Next stop, the National Finals in Wellington.

Our other team (Theo M, Louis H-C, Jessica A, and Genevieve) was also commendable, placed joint sixth with 81/100, which was the winning score at last year's competition.

Sincere thanks to Mrs Tracey Hull for preparing the teams so well for this event.

Lost Property

There are several items of lost property in the foyer beside the Reception door. Please have a look if your child has missing items.

End of Term 1

Just a reminder, Term 1 concludes on Thursday 6 April, at 12.35pm. Please note, there will be no Afterschool Care available. Term 2 commences on Tuesday 2 May at the normal time.

Regards

Jonathan Bierwirth
Principal of Preparatory School
Deputy for Rector

NZ Opera Performance

On Tuesday 4 April the New Zealand Opera will be performing to all the Preparatory School classes in the Centennial Chapel. The opera being performed is Sleeping Beauty, by the Italian composer Respighi but with a Kiwi flavour. The cost of the opera is $5.00 which is an extremely modest price, and a fantastic opportunity for students to experience live performance. This will be charged to your child’s school account. We have enjoyed the New Zealand Opera performances to our students in the past and look forward to another great production.
